ISSN Argentina

Member since 1976

The Argentinean ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) Centre has been operating under the UNESCO/UNISIST programme since 1976, and was one of the first countries to join the network.

From the beginning, Molina de Quiroga Durand has been responsible for carrying out the activities of the National Centre.

In these 48 years, we have grown and evolved in step with the Network, always trying to be present, to participate, to collaborate and to train in order to achieve its objectives.

In these almost 5 decades, many people have passed through the Centre and left their valuable contributions, including Ana María Flores, Alicia Aparicio, Ana María Laje, Silvia M. Pérez and Silvia C. Vázquez, among others. Currently, and for the last six years, the person in charge is Magister Carlos Authier, in direct collaboration with Ariadna Piperissa.

The Centre had the opportunity to be selected for the 2007 Annual Meeting. It was a wonderful, intense but very enriching experience for us, with many anecdotes of cultural exchange between the participating countries.

It was a great honour for us to participate as hosts and thanks to this we managed to be included in the Governing Board the following year.

We are very proud to be part of this network and of the work we all do.
