For an international dialogue on the identification and preservation of cultural and scholarly publications: the ISSN celebrates its 50th anniversary
This conference will address current issues related to the preservation of the written heritage, scientific research and access to knowledge. It will highlight UNESCO's action to protect written collections and its support for global education, while exploring French policies on open science and open access publishing. It also analyses the rise of scientific publishing in Africa, particularly in Nigeria, and the challenges faced by libraries. It also highlights the importance of standards such as the ISSN in guaranteeing the integrity of journal content, and offers a reflection on the future of research and the dissemination of knowledge on a global scale.
