ISSN Romania
Member since 1990
Since its founding in 1990, the Romanian ISSN Centre has been a proud member of the global ISSN network. Over the years, the Romanian ISSN Centre has grown into a trusted resource for Romanian serial publications, building an impressive database of over 37 000 records that highlight the country’s rich academic and cultural output.
The Centre’s success is thanks to the dedication of its remarkable team, past and present. From Mircea and Teodora to Aurelia, and now Adina, their hard work and passion have made the Centre what it is today. Their efforts were recognized on the international stage in 2008 when the Centre received the first-ever ISSN Award, honoring their commitment and achievements.
In 2013, the Romanian ISSN Centre gained further international visibility as hosts of the ISSN Directors’ Meeting at the National Library of Romania in Bucharest. This event was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the work over the years and strengthen ties with colleagues from around the world.
