Bosnia and Herzegovina joined the ISSN Statute in February 1998. The Agreement with the International ISSN Centre was signed on 27 May 1998. ISSN National Centre Bosnia and Herzegovina has been established in the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo as a part of the Serials Department. The renewal of the Agreement was signed on 16 January 2019.
The First Head of ISSN NC B&H was Mrs. Dijana Biloš and the first assigned ISSN was ISSN 1512-5009 for title Album, a journal for literature and culture.
36th meeting of the Directors of ISSN National Centres was held in Sarajevo from 3rd to 7th October 2011.
For the moment (on the 28th of January 2025), in the ISSN Register, we have 4458 records from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During all these years, we met our colleagues, worked with them, exchanged ideas, and received many answers and support for different matters.
We wish the ISSN IC and ISSN network many more years of success and collaboration.
