1975: the Danish national centre was established in the Royal Library, where publications have been received through the legal deposit system established in 1697.
Denmark was one of the first countries, which was able to send tapes to Paris.
2003: it was decided to align the rules and follow the principles of ISSN. Before that time ISSN and the ”Danish national bibliography. Serials” were based on different cataloguing rules.
2019: we changed from a local Danish format danMARC to MARC21. However, it causes some challenges because the Danish national Library database still uses danMARC.
2023: at the end of the year we have added more than 33.000 records to the ISSN Portal. We send files to the ISSN IC once a week.

We are grateful for the cooperation (regarding all kinds of problems with periodicals) with the ISSN Network and the IC, both at the Directors Meetings and by mail. – HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to all of us!
