For us here at the Biblioteca de Catalunya, the ISSN data and the ISSN portal are more than just useful – they're absolutely essential for our day-to-day work as the centre that manages the ISSNs of the series published in Catalonia. We also receive series from all over the world and catalogue almost all of them at the full level, always including the ISSN and ISSN L in our records. It's really helpful to know the beginning or end of a series, any title changes, where it was published, who the publisher is, and how many editions there are.
